Summary
Full details of what is required to set up as an nxo franchisee are contained in our prospectus. However, a summary is as follows:
Experience
As an nxo franchisee, you will need a good amount of hands-on experience in a marketing role. This provides you with the knowledge to advise clients about their marketing needs. You need not necessarily have experience working in an agency, as training is provided to cover this.
However, our criteria are such that we ask that franchisees have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in marketing. We feel that this is important to maintain the brand strength and company name of nxo.
Starting up Your Business
You will require the usual basic tools for starting up your business, i.e. a dedicated workspace, a laptop computer with broadband/wireless connections, telephone and mobile. As part of the start up package, you will receive all of the stationery that you will require to start your business, i.e. business cards, letterheads, compliments slips, branded envelopes.
We do not, however, specify where you have to work. Should you wish to work from home or an office, it is entirely your choice, and one that you can make to fit in with your lifestyle and how you wish to run your business.
Franchise Fee
The nxo franchise fee is £35,000 + VAT. There is no further mandatory minimum investment other than your requirement for working capital.
Training
A comprehensive training program is provided to facilitate the successful set-up and operation of your nxo franchise. Training takes place at the nxo Creative Hub over an initial two-day period, where franchisees learn about the nxo day-to-day operations, and the functions of nxo.
The topics covered throughout the training range from a background about the company to a reflection on your personal profile, as well as the operational issues such as I.T. functions, administration & pricing, and the job production process. Guidance is also provided about accounting.
Forums
Franchise forums are held on a regular basis, to provide additional support and guidance to franchisees, as well as providing an opportunity for all franchisees to come together and network.
The forums are viewed as an essential part of maintaining and increasing the strength in the franchise network. Not only are they a good point of contact, they also provide information on areas of interest which will be beneficial to the running of the franchisee’s company.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
nxo believes that continuous professional development (CPD) is vital to the on-going development of the nxo franchise. The nxo brand is synonymous with forward-thinking and professional high quality performance and it is therefore integral to the business that all franchisees are recognised as being at the forefront of, or conversant with, developments in the marketing and communications industry.
To this end, we have developed a process to ensure that all franchisees are supported in being able to achieve this aim so that the reputations of the individual and the franchise are enhanced and maintained.
